Latin America in the QS 2026 Art & Design category It ranked 124th globally, solidifying its leadership at both the national and regional levels.

The School of Design at the Universidad del Desarrollo reaffirms its position as one of the leading institutions in the field, following the results of the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject, in which it was ranked as the second-best school of design in Chile and among the top 9 in Latin America.

Globally, the School ranked 124th in the Art & Design category, cementing a track record of sustained growth and international recognition in one of the world’s most influential academic rankings.

This result reflects the coordinated efforts of the UDD School of Design, which has promoted an interdisciplinary education that addresses contemporary challenges and maintains strong ties to industry, applied research, and the social environment.

“The position we’ve achieved in this ranking is a recognition of our academic community’s commitment to training designers capable of making a positive impact on society by combining creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking,” said Alejandra Amenábar, dean of the School of Design.

The QS Subject Rankings evaluate universities based on indicators such as academic reputation, reputation among employers, and research impact, placing the UDD School of Design in a prominent position both in Chile and in the region.
