Úrsula Bravo es Profesora Asociada de la Escuela de Diseño de la Universidad del Desarrollo y editora de la revista de acceso abierto Base Diseño e Innovación.
Tiene un Doctorado en Educación, una Maestría en Educación, una Maestría en Humanidades y una Licenciatura en Diseño, además de estudios en Teoría del Arte e Historia del Arte. Fue becaria de la Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo de Chile. Cofundadora de Design Literacy International Network y miembro de la Design Research Society.
Durante más de dos décadas, ha explorado las relaciones entre el diseño, la visualidad y la educación: primero diseñando textos escolares en Chile y España, y posteriormente asesorando al Ministerio de Educación en la evaluación de los textos que el Estado entrega a escuelas públicas y subvencionadas del país. En 2016, lideró el proyecto Introduciendo Design Thinking a las escuelas chilenas, financiado por el British Council.

Úrsula Bravo is an Associate Professor at the Universidad del Desarrollo School of Design and the Editor-in-Chief of the open-access journal Base Diseño e Innovación. She holds a PhD in Education, a Master’s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Humanities, and a Bachelor’s degree in Design, as well as studies in Art Theory and Art History. She was a fellow of the Chilean National Agency for Research and Development. Co-founder of Design Literacy International Network and member of the Design Research Society.
For two decades, she has explored the relations among design, visuality and education: first designing school textbooks in Chile and Spain and later advising the Ministry of Education on evaluating the textbooks that the State delivers to public and subsidised schools in the country. In 2016, she led the project Introducing Design Thinking to Chilean schools, funded by the British Council.
